RULES:

General Group Rules

1.) BE ACTIVE. There's no point in joining a group just to join.
This group is about drawing/RPing and writing about your fox- so there are multiple ways for you to participate. If a member is inactive for too long (around six months), or has not participated in a mandatory event after inactivity (and not pre-contacted an admin) that member will be kicked from the group.

2.) BE KIND. Don't harass or belittle other group members, whether it's their artwork or writing. Constructive criticism is allowed- as long as the group member has asked for it. If you have an issue, whether it be about art theft/character theft, plagiarism/tracing, SEND it to the mods. Do not attack the person you believe is doing something wrong! Admins will research and deal with the issue personally, from a non-biased standpoint. Any member interference will be seen as harassment, and will be dealt with. This group is meant to be a fun and safe environment to anyone involved. If you have a problem, take it to the admins in private, public attacks will gain you a warning, further incidents will get you removed from the group.

3.) DO MANDATORY MISSIONS. While there will be side missions, there will also be missions that are mandatory. Mandatory means that it is required that each and every member takes place in these missions. If a member does not complete a mandatory mission that member may be kicked from the group. If a member cannot be part of a mandatory mission for any given reason, they should contact an admin and explain why. Side missions are optional and can gain a fox some helpful items. Optional means that it does not hurt the fox (or the member) if it doesn't participate.

Kros (energy) and kros BEADS, are separate things. Kros beads can only be found through the group! Kros (energy) is earned for artwork and literature.
4.) COLLECT KROS BEADS. Kros beads, such as this one: are an important part of the group. They come in 3 colors: red (protects from injury1 time) , blue (protects death 1 time) and finally, white, (this bead causes your fox to gain another tail ahead of the rest, disregarding area unlocking requirements). While red and blue are fairly common, white is ONLY gained from completing certain special missions. Kros beads protect a fox ONE TIME each and then shatter immediately after use. There are many ways to earn common ones:
Way one: Beads can appear randomly throughout the KrosFox group- sometimes in blogs, sometimes in artwork, etc. Basically just about anywhere. In order to gain one of these beads, a member must note a full page screenshot to an admin (basically the location of the bead, as well as the ENTIRE page it was found on). The member must also make sure that their DA user-name is viewable at the top of said screenshot (it's the area near where the messages are). This is to confirm it was said member who found the bead. Incomplete screen caps or another member's name will gain your fox nothing. This type of beads will not remain in one location long! They appear sporadically, so there may not be a bead to find, or there might be several at any given time.
Way two: Completing special events and art/writing for the group is important. It's also the easiest/fastest way to earn Kros beads. ((Only submissions for events/missions earn beads, not foxlife/general art, and only if the mission states that beads may be obtained.))
Kros is the energy your fox collects, in order to use powers and level up. Here is how you earn it:

Mandatory Events = 15 Kros ((counts as prize after completing mission, not per submission))
Optional Missions = 10 Kros

Art Contributions
        -  Sketches- is anything drawn roughly, or looks unfinished.=1 kros

        - Icon (50x50 pixels or smaller) = 2 kros
        - Icon (100x100pixels or larger) = 3 Kros
                       Animated ((4+frames)) = + 3 kros

         - Lined / B&W /rough Flat = 2 Kros
        - Flat, lined= 2 kros
        - Full color + shaded without lines = 3 kros
(Colored very neatly, with  shadows but no lines [vector]).

-Full color + shaded with lines = 3 Kros
(Colored, shaded, and lined).

-Simple background = add 1 Kros
(If your background is a simple gradient, or solid color add one Kros to your piece's tally)

      - Full background (detailed background with scenery) = add 4 Kros
(If your background has shapes, images, a scene, etc. Add 4 Kros to your piece's tally)

    - Animated file= less tha n4 frames = 3 Kros , more than 10 frames = 5 Kros
        - Multiple Characters = +1 Kros (for each extra character aside from that member's fox- only applies to inked drawings and up)
        - Unanimously voted Feature = + 6 Kros
(if you're in the featured section, you gain 6 extra kros for that image, aside from the original Kros gained)

Writing
        - Poem = 1 Kros
        - 800 word+ = 2 kros
((your earn 1 kros per 400+ words. ex:If you write 3,200 words, you gain 8 kros.
- per submission
-extra words do not count toward kros total of subsequent writings, Ie: no adding word counts from seperate stories together.
If you don't write at least 400 words, no kros is awarded!
Rp logs count as writing, but kros must be tallied per participant, not in total))
        - Unanimously voted Feature = +6 Kros
(if you're in the featured section, you gain 6 extra kros for that image)

Comic(s) (per page) (comics must be at least 4 panels to be considered for kros, anything less is more of an illustration.
       - Lined / B&W / Flat = 3 Kros
       - Full color + shaded = 5 Kros
       -  Full color + shaded with background = 10 Kros
       - Multiple Characters = +1 Kros (per character,per page)

:star:[EDIT] 12/29/14: It's come to my attention that people are misinterpreting kros counts featuring multiple characters. For example, If a flat colored, lined drawing features more than one character it should be be broken down like this:

- Flat, lined= 2 kros (This is for the whole submission, it is not multiplied per fox, its a one time count.)
 - Multiple Characters = +1 Kros (for each extra character aside from that member's fox- only applies to inked drawings and up)
If the submission features 6 other foxes, excluding your own character, it would be +6 kros, not 3x6 to be 20 kros. The submission earns 8 kros.

Application Rules

1.)MAKE YOUR FOX'S APPEARANCE FOLLOW THE GUIDELINES. Do NOT make your level 9 fox look like a small adult fox! They are babies- make them look small, weak, and young. Be sure that your level 9 fox only has one tail!

((They may have minor appearance quirks, such as mask's instead of faces, puffy tails, odd shaped tails ect, but no wings or advantageous appendages or advanced features, like 50 eyes all over.Things such as wings, extra eyes, mutations, horn, ect, will be gained with evolution, and more tails.))

2.)BE SURE THAT YOU FILL OUT THE APPLICATION CORRECTLY. Applications need to contain certain information before you'd be approved to join the group. It must include required information, as well as the image of your baby fox. You can find the form here  fc02.deviantart.net/fs70/f/201…

General Questions and Answers

1. What is an Aeniama?
An Aeniama is a small fox-like spirit. With kros (a type of energy) and Kros beads (special powerful beads filled with energy) an aeniama develops into a large, powerful deity-like figure. Aeniama are seen by humans as demonic entities and vermin until they become an elder or reach their revered 1st level (when they get their 9th tail). Humans revere/worship the deity-like 1st level Aeniamas, perhaps because they have forgotten or destroyed the documentation that the smaller spirits are in -fact the same as their deities- but just in a juvenile form.

2. What are Kros and Kros beads? Why do I need them? How do I get them?
Kros beads are an important. They are energy that has formed into a small beadlike object. They come in 3 colors and can protect your fox: red (protects from injury/death 1 time) , blue (protects from injury/death 2 times) and finally, white, (this bead causes your fox to gain another tail). While red and blue are fairly common, white is usually only gained from completing certain special missions. Kros beads protect a fox ONE TIME each and then shatter immediately after use. Kros is the energy your fox collects in order to use it's abilites. Kros is gained by doing events, or by submitting artwork/writing to the group. Without Kros and Kros beads, your fox will die.

3.What?! My fox can die???
Yes. This group is about survival, ingenuity, and stealth. If your fox is careless, it may be injured or even killed. (Beware of the fox-hunters- wild beasts tamed by humans to hunt AND eradicate new and inexperienced Aeniama!)

4. How can i prevent my fox from dying?
Most foxes can be reincarnated after reaching their second form- returning, but as a lower form that lacks a tail. The fox forfeits part of their magic- their magic tail- to survive. This survival mechanism prevents the permanent death of an aeniama, but they remain in a death state for one cycle (a one mission/or one event timeout basically, after which they start at level 9 again). Another way to ensure your fox survives is to skillfully use it's affinity to deter/defeat it's attacker long enough to escape. (Do keep in mind, that level 9 Aeniama only have enough power to use their affinity once per day.) The third option, is to collect Kros beads and use them instead of an affinity (one Kros bead only works for ONE TIME).

5. How does my fox change form?
A fox can only change form once a specific amount of Kros (pure energy) is acquired, or by completing enough mission and events, and participating in the group. Kros is obtained in many ways (see chart located above). A new area in the city needs to be unlocked before a new evolution (form) can be attained. As to how many Kros are needed:
Level Unlock : Level unlocks allow you fox to become stronger/larger, but Kros are needed.
  :bulletgreen:Level 9 Unlock = Unlocked Indefinitely
    Level 8 Unlock = 35 kros
    Level 7 Unlock = 70 kros
    Level 6 Unlock = 140 kros
    Level 5 Unlock = 280 kros
    Level 4 Unlock = 560 kros
    Level 3 Unlock = 1,120 kros
    Level 2 Unlock = 2,240 kros
    Level 1 Unlock = 4,480 kros
+ level unlocks are attained through individual member points.
+ Unlocking a new area (city level) is prerequisite for a new evolution.

Members must keep track of their Kros, the group will not do it for you.

6. Ok, how are new areas (city levels) unlocked?
Similar to how you gain Kros beads, artifacts are gained by doing missions. Artifacts must be collected  and combined with Kros (energy) to form a key- which subsequently activates a lift (elevator like device) that leads to a higher level of Labyrinth city. Artifacts are acquired by the group as a whole and artifacts required to unlock new city levels are cumulative. Most artifacts will be given after storyline missions and events are completed. Also, certain side quests may yield them as well.

7. Well, that all sounds really cool, how do we go about joining?
Simple, read and abide by the rules, fill out an application: empiredog.deviantart.com/art/K… (with all information- even description info), and then send the group a JOIN request with a link to your app. At the moment we don't have a writing app, but you can always get a friend to draw your fox for you. Please note that this is the ONLY CIRCUMSTANCE where you can get someone else to draw your submission for you. (You may not do this with any other submission/event).
